(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) Though Grahams animal form wasn't an aquatic one, he still loved being in a pool. Especially after going for a run or playing soccer he loved to soothe his muscles in the water, always going for a few laps before he just let himself float in the middle of the pool, eyes closed and a happy smile on his face. He had never had the luxury of a pool before, sure, there had been some in London, but with barely enough cash to make ends meet, things like going to a pool for fun had never been possible. Instead he'd play out on the streets with his mates, playing the right kind of football, or soccer as it was called here. He still loved doing that, even had been made Captain of the schools soccer team, but sometimes he just loved being in the water, preferably alone.
It was a place where he could think, because unlike what some people thought, he did think. Granted, not always about school - if he could avoid it - but Graham wasn't stupid. Scholastically, yes, he found most things a challenge, but London had taught him to see things that most people his age didn't.
Moving his hand leisurely through the water, Graham let himself drift back and forth a little with the small lapping movements of the pool, his eyes closed and his face set in somewhat of an unhappy expression this time. He loved this school, loved that he wasn't an outcast here, but when his mum was sick like she was now, the cancer having come back, he would give anything to be with her instead of at this school.

Red-soaked fingertips dye the atmosphere with fluttering butterfly tears+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Today was hot. Maybe too hot. Well, it definitely was for Alex. Getting dressed in a hurry that morning, he had forgotten to slip his t-shirt on under his black hoodie. And it was one of his favourite winter hoodies! That didn’t help him at all. Having fallen asleep during two of his classes today, he saw two lovely detentions heading his way. But he couldn’t help it. Being a feline in his animal form, it was natural for him to sleep during the day. Wasn’t it?
Yawning to himself, he lazily closed his locker door, slunk his arm through his crutch and sleepily dragged himself outside. He looked up to the open sky and shielded his eyes from the blazing sun. “Great, I picked today of all days to make a bad dress code decision,” he mumbled to himself with a sigh. Shizuma, his godmother, had been in terrible pain the night before. Alex had stayed up with her all night, playing violin solos in the form of lullabies, hoping to soothe her. No wonder he was so tired today! He didn’t even have any spare time for his night time study session. Not that it bothered him. He was glad to give it up in place of being by his godmother’s side.
But now, Alex wanted some quiet time, and an escape from this dreaded heat. He planned to sit by the poolside, shrug out of his hoodie, put in his earphones and sketch the surroundings. He had started an A3 sketch a few days before, but hadn’t gotten around to finishing it. Now was the perfect time. Just him, the pool and his sketchpad, all alone. Or so he thought.
Approaching the pool area, he noticed that the body of water was already occupied by someone else. And not just anybody. A guy! Alex had expected to see a few girls playing in the cool water as he had never seen any males enter this area this time of day, especially when he came here to sketch. This was new in his regular flow of the day’s activities.
Nearing the pool’s edge, he slung his bag off of his shoulder, dropped it to the ground and leaned on his black-painted crutch. “Excuse me, but you’ve caused a bit of change in my scenery,” he said, coolly. His blonde bangs drifted in the vague breeze and his hazel eyes remained fixed on the other male. I think I recall him from somewhere...

(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) Gray was shaken from his thoughts by a voice drifting towards him over the water, a voice that sounded cool, like its owner wasn't pleased at all by his presence. The same could be said for him, sort of, since he hadn't expected anyone here at this time, which showed in the way he somewhat flailed and lost his balance, disappearing under the water for a moment. When he came back up, spluttering, a hand moved to slick his hair backwards, away from his face. Little droplets of water still clung to his eyelashes as he blinked a few times, blue eyes gazing at the boy that had spoken to him.
"Hello to you too" He started, though his voice was friendlier than the words suggested. He hadn't been looking for company but he didn't really mind having any, it was probably better to have something to distract him rather than focus on what was happening with his mum all day. After all, it wasn't like he could fix anything from here. She had forbidden him from coming home, saying she'd be fine, and even though he knew she'd still say that with her last breath he had no choice but to obey her.
Graham lazily swam to the edge of the pool, the one closest to Alex, his eyes resting on the boy for a moment. He was almost a hundred percent sure that the boy had been in his year once, and might even be in a few of his classes now. "You should join me for a swim, it's lovely" He only then noticed the crutch, a faint flash of color painting his cheeks. "Oh. Um. Sorry, I didn't see your .. thing." He could be such a retard, honestly. But to be fair, he had sort of been thrown off balance by the boys cool statement, like he was expecting Gray to remove himself from the pool just because he didn't fit in with the scenery.

Red-soaked fingertips dye the atmosphere with fluttering butterfly tears+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ It was then that Alex realised that his words may have come across as being a bit unfriendly. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to make new friends. He loved every opportunity he could get. Perhaps it was the heat that had rubbed him up the wrong way. The heat, lack of sleep, and the distraction of an attractive male in the vicinity... all these factors kept him from successfully completing his sketch. Alex let out a winding sigh and flicked his bangs to the side. His black-lined eyes looked at the other male up and down, taking in his appearance. After a few moments, he realised what he was doing, his cheeks turning rosy pink. “Sorry. Bad artist’s habit of mine,” he said, sitting at the edge of the pool. “I apologize if I came across a bit rude. I’ve been meaning to finish this sketch for a couple of days now. But that can wait”
Alex rolled up his sleeves, laid down of his stomach and dipped his arms into the cool water. A small smile crept on to his face as an almost purring-like sound escaped his lips. This feels good… he thought. His hazel gaze found Graham’s blue one, fixing itself to him. He has beautiful eyes. Alex chuckled softly. “You’re right, the water is indeed lovely,” he said, smiling. He kept his arms submerged for a while, swaying them back and forth in the water. “Perhaps a will join you in a moment.”
The blonde let his bangs touch the water, and then shook his head violently, spraying water everywhere. His eyes wandered over to his crutch that he placed beside him and then back to Graham. “You know, I’m not disabled or anything. I can swim perfectly fine,” he said softly. “I just get tired very easily. I’m not built for anything sporty.” He looked at his reflection in the water, almost disappointed by what he saw there.
“Would you mind if I joined you? I’d hate to intrude.”

(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) The way Alex was looking at him sort of unnerved him at first (and, he had to admit, also sort of excited him), but when the other called himself on it and mentioned it was an artists habit, he smiled. "I don't mind" It was nice to be looked at, period. Not many people did. Sure, they looked, but they didn't see. He was just another boy in the school, just like he had been just another boy in London. Nothing to see, moving along. He was used to being the friend, the sibling, the guy that was overlooked until someone needed something, so to be looked at in detail, even if it was just from an artists perspective, was quite nice. "Feel free to look, though if you want to finish your sketch, I'll warn you now, I can't hold my breath for long" He wasn't sure if the other would get the joke, but the only thing aside from leaving the pool that would allow the boy to sketch what he saw was his hiding himself under the surface.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude." Graham smiled again, apologetic this time. He didn't want to assume things about people, such as that Alex couldn't swim, but when he'd seen the crutch he just felt like an idiot for inviting him to join when it might be obvious that he couldn't. "Yeah, feel free to join me. I was just emo-ing around here, that's never done anyone any good" His fingers absently brushed over the scars on his wrists, the ones that he had stopped hiding sometime earlier this year. What was the point in hiding it when he didn't feel like he had to be ashamed? Things had happened, he had dealt with them the best way he knew, end of story. "I'm Graham, by the way. But everyone pretty much calls me Gray."

Red-soaked fingertips dye the atmosphere with fluttering butterfly tears+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Alex sat up and rolled his sleeves back down, sat cross-legged and cutely propped his chin on to an open palm. His pink-glossed lips widened into a smile. With the sunlight falling on him, it illuminated his pale skin. “Most people I’ve come across have seemed to mind,” he sighed. “I like observing at people. The girls that I happen to look at don’t seem to mind, but the guys get weirded out by it.” Alex leaned on his arm, looking around, his gaze trailing over everything that came into contact with it. He then looked up at the sky. Too strong a light source today, he thought. He turned back to Graham and offered another smile. “That’s alright. I’d rather have company then finish this sketch. It’s not often that I get to make a new friend.”
He slowly pulled himself into a more comfortable sitting position with his knees up to his chest as he started to undo the red laces of his knee-high hi-tops He undid them carefully, not pulling on them too hard to keep them from fraying out. It was almost hypnotic, the way his fingers moved. Perhaps this came from all the violin and keyboard playing that he did. Regardless, in a few short moments, his hi-tops and socks lay discarded next to his bag that he had thrown aside, far away from the water. “It’s alright. You weren’t expecting anyone, I assume.” Alex then lifted his hoodie off, tossing it as well. He was fairly skinny, but not skinny enough to look frail. The muscles on his upper body were well-toned from the times he used both his crutches. His skin was just as pale and not a hair in sight. He then removed his cellphone and keys from his pocket and got up to hide them in one of his shoes.
Coming back to the pool, Alex draped his long legs over the edge and lowered them into the water. He shivered as the water drenched his skinny jeans. “Hope you don’t mind if I keep my jeans on. I usually don’t mind stripping, but we just met,” Alex teased, winking playfully before slipping beneath the surface. Coming back up, he shook his head and smoothed his bangs to the side. Good think he used waterproof eyeliner, or he’d look like a mess right about now. He lent against the side of the pool for support.
“Gray?” he chuckled. “Funny, my last name is Gray. It’s nice to mean you Graham. My name is Alex Akihiko Gray.”

(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) He nodded understandingly when the boy mentioned guys got weirded out when he looked at them. "Well I promise I won't mind" He grinned a little, watching and waiting for the blonde to join him in the water. He was .. gorgeous. Graham didn't really have a type when it came to guys, he'd been crushing on guys that were taller than him, but also on small, more feminine guys. One thing he loved were eyes, though he didn't want to go so far as to say they were the mirrors to the soul, he did have a particular fondness for them. And Alex's were pretty, especially lined with eyeliner like that.
Graham had played around with eyeliner some, experimenting with his look, and even now he occasionally did rim his eyes with a black line. It looked better on Alex, he decided, and he chuckled when the other mentioned he'd leave the stripping to another time. That wasn't exactly what he'd said, but Gray would take it like that anyway. "So next time?" He teased lightly, laughing once more when the boy mentioned his last name was Gray. "Looks like it's fate then" Of course he was just joking, but it was a funny coincidence.
"Akihiko?" That was an interesting middle name. "That sounds somewhat Japanese" Or in that direction, anyway. To be honest, if it wasn't for Kai he wouldn't have known the difference between a Korean and Japanese name, let alone between how people looked. It was true what they said, all Asians looked alike to people like him, though he supposed it was the other way around as well. "My middle name is boring compared to yours, it's Jonathan." His father always used to call him Jona when he was younger, he was the only person to ever do that.

Red-soaked fingertips dye the atmosphere with fluttering butterfly tears+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ It had been a while since Alex had floated in a body of water, not for play or the enjoyment of it, but just for the sake of forcing himself to relax. When he was younger, Shizuma would pack a big basket, mats and a colourful umbrella and drive them to the beach. This was a routine almost every weekend during the summer months. It was Shizuma that had taught him to swim, saying that swimming would be a way to increase his muscle strength. But ever since that dreadful day, Alex refused to step into the sea, or even a pool. Sure, he’d perhaps take a walk along the sand when he felt like it, but he’d never go into the water.
But today? Alex thought that swimming to escape the heat was a lame excuse. The factor that has caused him to change his mind when none other than the blue-eyed boy that had already occupied the water on his arrival. Not to mention that he was practically invited to join him. Alex had always been slightly envious of individuals whom had exotic-coloured eyes. He thought that blue suited Graham perfectly. It was the one factor that Alex was instantly attracted to. Not to mention his figure and… his voice! The blonde practically felt himself melt in the inside at the sound of the other’s voice.
“Don’t make promises like that. I may just ask you to model for me,” Alex said, doing a few backstrokes. The cool water felt so good on his skin that he considered doing this more often. But only if Graham were here. Alex wasn’t used to going swimming on his own. Besides, he couldn’t deny that his new-made friend was good eye candy. At this thought, he blonde blushed slightly to himself. He stopped and sunk beneath the water for a few moments, hoping that the redness in his cheeks would subside. He is rather cute... he thought. Upon surfacing, he drifted back to where Graham was.
He couldn’t help but giggle at the other’s question. Alex liked a bit of playfulness in the personality of those he called his friends. It added a little excitement to life. Though, with Graham being his newest friend, he couldn’t tell if he were serious or just fooling around. Alex approached him and whispered in his ear, “Maybe if you’re extra nice to me, next time will be your lucky break.” He then drifted about a metre away from Graham. Alex loved playing games like this, but really, Alex was comfortable in his own skin. It wouldn’t faze him if everyone walked around naked or drastically covered from the top of their heads to the bottom of their feet. “Perhaps it is fate, perhaps not. Whatever led to this meeting, I’m grateful to it.”
“I like the name Jonathan,” Alex said with a cute smile. “As yes, my middle name is Japanese. My godmother gave it to me years ago.” He dragged the word ‘years’ out. It was odd for him to mention his godmother on a first meeting. He didn’t like talking about her to ‘strangers’. Alex let himself become submerged and disappeared for quite some time. A while later, he came up behind Graham, draping his arms around his neck. “Gotcha,” he said, giggling.

(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) "You flatter me" Graham smiled, his cheeks a little pink. He wasn't used to being flirted with - if that's what this was - or having people tell him that he was attractive. And okay, Alex hadn't used those exact words, but asking him to model for him meant something, and it made something happy tingle up in his body. "I'd happily model for you, it's sitting still that would be the issue" He'd even model naked if anyone asked, because although he didn't think he was attractive, he knew that his body at least was in good shape. It was one thing he prided himself in, running and playing soccer and generally flitting around like someone had shoved a firecracker up his ass had left him with an athlete's body, though he would never be as bulked up as some. But that was fine, he liked being normal, innocent, wide-eyed Graham Kerr, because when it came down to it, people never expected him to be in a gang, and he used that to his advantage. He'd gotten away with some things that had caused his friends to roll their eyes and bestow the nickname Lucky Charm on him.
Having Alex flirt with him and tease him made him chuckle, and he didn't exactly protest much when the other draped his arms around his neck from behind and giggled in his ear. "Oops. Looks like I'm your prisoner now. Whatever will you do with me?" He moved around a little bit, for as much as Alex would let him, trying to catch a glimpse of his eyes. "Will you leave my virtue intact?" It was nice, having someone close to him. His thoughts briefly turned to Kai, but he pushed them away. Kai would hug him, sure, but he would never be so close to him as Alex was now, close enough to count his eyelashes and see the flecks in his eyes. "And oh, I'm always nice." Not exactly, but he wasn't a mean person, and he totally would not mind if he could do his nickname justice and catch a lucky break.

Red-soaked fingertips dye the atmosphere with fluttering butterfly tears+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ There was something about his new-found friend that grasped at Alex’s attention. The way his wet hair clung to him? Maybe the extravagant colour of his eyes? The tone of his skin? Maybe the way he spoke, or perhaps just the mere sound of his voice? Alex didn’t know, and maybe he didn’t want to find out. He loved the mystery surrounding Graham, but… he wouldn’t mind getting to know him better in all sorts of ways. There was no specific type of guy or girl for Alex. He never had that kind of preference. Not that he’s had any past relationship experience to depend on either…friends with benefits, a fling here and there, but not a relationship. His lips may not be pure anymore, but the rest of his body was.
Alex couldn’t help but noticed the way Graham’s cheeks flushed a pink shade. He had to keep himself from giggling like some silly schoolgirl. The lynx was good at flattery, having had more than enough time years to practice the art. Smooth… that’s what his words were always described to be. Alex prided himself in it, even if it did take his flirting habit a bit too far at times. “Really now?” Alex asked with a smile. “You’re not the type to sit still? Well, I think I can fix that.” He offered a mischievous wink to the other boy. Alex had… ways that he wouldn’t disclose to most people. Well, unless they got close enough to him to be his in his room with him with a closed door. It was surprising that his mother hadn’t suspected anything, but as a little secret, Alex enjoyed exploring different ways of getting someone energetic or being rendered frozen. Perhaps it was because Alex was so cat-like even his human form that inspired these, could one say, kinky tactics.
The hold that Alex had around the other’s neck tightened as he pulled himself up to rest his head in the crook of Graham’s neck. Even in water, the other boy had a nice smell to him. Wonder if he has a nice taste too… Alex pondered, his cat-like curiosity getting the better of him. He closed his eyes for a moment, grinning. “If you really are my prisoner, I’d do anything that I’d want to with you. Maybe I’ll leave you virtue intact, maybe not. But being the good person that I am, I’ll let you have a say in the matter,” he whispered, licking the shell of Graham’s ear. Something stirred inside of Alex. It seemed that his feline playfulness wanted out, and it wanted out now. He really is quite cute…

(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) "Really now?" Graham couldn't help chuckling, charmed by the no nonsense attitude that this boy had. He had to admit he rather liked being flirted with, and instead of being coy, Alex didn't seem to feel the need to play the shy card. It was something Graham liked, though he had to admit that shy people could be really cute too. Kai Durant was an excellent example of that, but then, he was straight, and as much as Gray approved of shy people, he didn't really go for the straight guys. Not even the straight-but-want-to-experiment kind, he'd done that before, back in London one summer, but the guy had ultimately decided that dick was not for him. Would've not been so much of a problem if he hadn't shoved Graham away and called him a faggot to his face but hey, not everyone responded to things the same way, and it hadn't been that long ago that Graham himself had been firmly in the closet.
He hummed appreciatively at Alex's next words, and allowed a slow shiver to run down his back when the others tongue curled around his ear. "Mmm, you're cute. And you're doing an excellent job at making me not care about having a say in the matter" Gray teased lightly, his fingertips ghosting over Alex's side. The way he moved, the way he spoke, it made Graham wonder what his shifter form was. Call him crazy, but sometimes it felt like their animal form sort of oozed through in day to day life as a human. But maybe more so with feline creatures, which is what he would guess Alex was. The way he moved, slow and sensual, maybe even a tad predatory, and the playfullness that just barely brushed the surface made him think that this boys shifter form might very well be a cat, or some form of feline, at least.

Red-soaked fingertips dye the atmosphere with fluttering butterfly tears+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ It had been a while since Alex was attracted to someone, not just by physical appearance, but through that instant connection that no one could fully explain or understand. Sure, even he didn’t know what this was, but he felt it with Gray. This could blossom into a great friendship, or into something else that the two males would allow. The last person Alex had been attracted to was his best friend, Alissa. They’d share an odd kiss from time to time and be comfortable around each other in all kinds of situations. They even slept in the same bed when Alissa would visit, but they could never have a relationship. Why? Alex knew that his best friend would be moving far away and that the only contact they’d have would be virtually. He’s chance at even thinking about wanting a proper relationship with her was disintegrated at the very moment when the words describing her leave left her lips.
Now, Graham’s chuckling was generously feeding Alex’s playfulness. His voice… why does it grasp me like this? he wondered. The only other individual that Alex had felt attracted to, since Alissa had left, was his Japanese teacher, Cyan Satou-sensei. Well, that would explain his daydreaming in class and his long staring sessions at the older male. But Alex knew that as long as he was still a student, these sparks of love would remain one-sided. “Yes, really,” he answered coolly. “Don’t tempt me, because you may not enjoy it. Then again, you may. I’m not sure what you will and will not allow.” Alex loved experimenting. Even though he was the dominant figure with a girl, he loved being the submissive body with a guy. He also felt that he was more feminine with the larger percentage of males that he has ‘been with’. If mom ever found out…! he laughed in his mental world. Dressing up was another one of his habits. When Shizuma was still a healthy musician, she’d take Alex along to her performances and dress him up in the most extreme outfits, specially made for him, of course. That would explain the sometimes extreme flare of Alex’s daily dress code.
The Eurasian lynx shifter felt the vibrations of the other’s humming resonate through his body. He was just sensitive like that, as he liked to put it. The feeling was soothing, yet exciting. A smile played on his lips at being called cute by Graham. Feeling the other’s touch on his skin gained a mix of a purr and a growl from Alex’s vocal cords. “So, you think I’m cute?” he questioned, letting go of Graham and drifting in front of him now. His gold-flecked, hazel gaze was fixed on the other body in front of him, tracing over every single contour, memorising it… a predator’s gaze. Alex gently leaned against Graham, tucking himself neatly under the other’s jaw line. “I make you not care, now do I?” he asked, his voice low. The feline absent-mindedly traced his fingertips along the other’s spine, like a bow’s movement on violin strings.

(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) Alex's words made Gray smirk a little, one corner of his mouth tilting up. "I'm pretty openminded" He left it at that, because honestly, he didn't have too good of an idea what he would or wouldn't like in a sexual situation. He could get turned on by a lot of things, but he was a teenager, he could probably get aroused by a napkin. Well, maybe not exactly, but the point was, being young, a lot of things seemed pretty interesting, and he wouldn't know what was for him until he tried them out. That was his opinion about a lot of things, which had caused him to experiment with drugs at an early age. It was also this that had made him step away from drugs just as quickly. He'd try anything once, but as for his vices, he'd stick to cigarettes. He didn't even drink, though he would occasionally have a beer with someone, but he had been plastered only once, and it hadn't been the greatest experience.
(A very, very drunk Graham had confessed his sexuality to a guy he'd had a crush on, and he'd woken up somewhere in the streets with a bloody nose)
Letting Alex tuck himself underneath his jaw, he loosely wrapped his arms around the boy, his body happy with the soft fingers going up and down his back. This was nice. This was what he wanted. Not just a boy to have sex with, but someone to cuddle with and just hold close. Sure, sex was important, especially since he was only eighteen, but he could get that with just anyone. He wanted a boyfriend though, someone he could hold hands with and smile at and just feel content with. "Mhm" He answered softly, bending to press a kiss into damp blonde hair. "I think you're absolutely adorable." Though some guys didn't like being called adorable, since it sounded so far from manly, Gray had no qualms in calling it as he saw it.

Red-soaked fingertips dye the atmosphere with fluttering butterfly tears+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ The blonde couldn’t help but notice Graham’s mouth morph into a distinctive smirk. He swallowed hard as he felt his body tense up. That look on the other boy’s face made him look like such a… dominant figure. Alex enjoyed playing and being the submissive, more feminine role. Even though he came on strong in terms of flirting, he would rarely make a stronger move, such as a kiss or an extremely intimate touch. It had been a little over eight months since Alex had been this close, physically, to another person, male or female, so this felt too good to be true. Sure, he had friends, but he didn’t have friends that he could get this close to.
Upon hearing that Graham was an open-minded individual made Alex quirk up an eyebrow in disbelief. He had known many girls who were rather open to experimentation with different sexual situations, but hardly any guys who felt the same way. “That’s quite hard to believe,” Alex said. “But then again, actions speak louder than words.” He placed his index finger over Graham’s lips and playfully winked at him. There was no lie strong enough to mask how much he was actually enjoying this. He usually watched what he said and how much physical contact her had with the other person, because even though he loved what he did, he really didn’t want anyone to get hurt because of it.
It sure was lonely for Alex. He had friends, he had his own students, obviously his mom and their stay-in nurse, Jessica and his fair share of the arts, but something was missing… a lover of some sort. He shook his head, trying to shove his feelings for his teacher to the back of his mind. Feeling Graham wrap his arms around his body, Alex relaxed. It was the first time in a very long while that he felt that he didn’t have to be the fighter, the protector, the strong figure. He let himself melt into Graham’s hold, a low hum escaping him. This feels nice…
Feeling Graham kiss the top of his head, Alex leaned up, the bridge of his nose now under the other male’s jaw. He felt himself blush deep pink after being called ‘adorable’. He had been called many things, but never adorable. “Adorable?” he giggled. Plushie toys are adorable, bunnies are adorable… not some tall, skinny, emo-looking looking guy with a half-shaven head and multiple piercings in his ears. “Well, I have to admit that you are pretty cute. You are… quite…” At this, Alex leaned up, his lips at Graham’s ear. “…breath-takingly gorgeous,” he finished, placing a light kiss on the other’s cheek. Why do I feel so comfortable around him…?

(Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?) Graham liked being the protector, the one that got to hold boys in his arms and take care of them. Sometimes he needed to be taken care of too, but that was what a relationship was all about, wasn't it? Taking care of each other, keeping the one you cared about safe but allowing them room to grow. People wouldn't say that Gray was very romantic, and when it came to things like flowers or gifts or remembering important dates that was probably true, but he did like being able to take care of someone, and when he was in a relationship (or when he would be, he'd never actually been in a relationship before) he showed his romantic side in that, in making his partner feel like the most special and loved person in all of the world. He was a big softie, but at the same time he liked to play. He liked to tease and experiment and find out what he and his boy were comfortable with, and he'd always try to surprise whoever he was with.
Gray kissed the finger that rested against his lips as Alex said it was hard to believe he was openminded, his eyebrow quirking up teasingly. Actions speak louder than words? Indeed. But Graham wasn't the type to just go and molest someone unless he got a clear indication that that was what the other wanted. Besides, this was rather nice. And he liked the build up, the sexual tension, the foreplay, whatever you wanted to call it, as much as he liked actually touching and being with someone. So instead of kissing Alex like part of him wanted to, he just stroked the boys side with light fintertips.
Being called breath-takingly gorgeous made him chuckle, his nose wrinkling up a little, something that said that his first instinct was to deny even the possibility of this being true. He'd always considered himself average, and up to now there hadn't ever been anyone who called him attractive, let alone the words Alex used now. "You flatter me" He said softly, smiling at the kiss to his cheek and letting his fingers brush through soft blonde hair until they were tangled within the strands. "I'd have better words for you than adorable, but somehow I don't ever seem to be eloquent unless I'm writing a song."
