It seemed to be one of those days, the type that people just didn't want to deal with. And Gypsy was having one of those days, she could feel it taking its toll on her mind and body. Standing on the side of the track she watched the other members warm up for the practice run. This was the one thing she hated to do but she loved track so it was fine with her. Wearing black shorts she stared at her arms for a few seconds before looking away. She could not wear a long sleeve shirt while running so she had to put up a wife beater for these type of things. But that didn't stop her from wearing sweat bands over the scars. Bending down she gentle touched the edge of her shoe with her finger before raising her head to stare once again at the other members.
She had joined because she loved to run, it was nice and she felt like she could run for hours and hours if need be. Maybe that was because of what she was, or maybe she really just wanted to feel free from the nightmare called her life. A dark chuckle escaped her mouth as she thought about how her life had turned from good to worse, to now being just slightly liveable. Gypsy was glad that she was giving another chance to live her life. Feeling like the walls were closing in on her she was glad when the coach yelled that it was her turn to run. Moving forward she placed herself at the third white line from the back, bending down she placed one foot forward and the other behind her more. Placing her hands on the ground in front of her she listened to her coach as she gentle rose her form slightly.
And then he raised his hand and shouted for them to go. Before a second thought entered her mind she was gone, her feet slamming against the ground as she raced forward. Not caring that the others were right behind her, she felt...free. A large smile formed on her face as she ran and ran. This feeling caused her to forget about the pain of her life as she ran back were the coach was she saw someone that she knew, her roommate and also a trackie like herself. Coming to a stand still in front of her she smiled brightly for the first time in awhile. "Hey" she said to her.
