Miss Daphne Bay is part of the cooking club and art club. She enjoys drawing, doodling, spray paint, and baking all sort of sweets. She is rather shy and quiet due to her lack of hearing, but is willing to open up to anyone who is willing to get to know her, or even attempt to get on her level. Most people assume that she should just 'learn to talk/hear', but really she works super hard to follow conversations of hearing people and to communicate with them, and most of them never even bother to try and learn to sign to her. Daphne believes if they can't bother to try and meet her halfway then she probably shouldn't bother being their friend. It can be really easy to be her friend if you make the effort, if you don't then she will quickly assume you to be an enemy.

On the romantic side, Daphne is very affectionate, but is rarely given the chance. She loves human contact, kissing, hugging, holding hands, all of that. She's never had a real relationship, due to being deaf and being home schooled. Daphne's quietness also seems to make it hard for any of the hearing boys to get to know her, but not like it really matters because it's been drilled in her head that hearing and deaf people can never be together.
Maybe someone can prove her wrong?

Eventually? Nicki's an odd kid, so I can't really predict what his reaction to her would be. I can totally see them being besties, but I'm not exactly sure how they would get to that point. Nicki really has trouble opening up to people, but maybe her deafness would intrigue him. I don't know. He's unpredictable... Re-opening a plot idea that we discussed earlier, but maybe she could write songs for Jet's band? I don't care what little Nicki thinks, he's joining that thing whether he wants to or not because his writer fucking says so. So if we waited until he joins, they could meet through her writing their songs, maybe? Or they could just awkwardly meet and risk becoming enemies, though I don't think the sweet side of him could hate on someone with a disability. He may just try to avoid her, though, not wanting to bring his reputation down even more. Well, lack of reputation... Please add or subtract, because this was a really shitty post XD

Methinks, yes. Definitely eventually.

Meeting through the band would be good, just have to somehow get Jet to find her music. Maybe she leaves it behind one day and he finds it with her name on it, hunts her down, etc. We'll sort that out.
I think, that Nicki doesn't realize she's deaf at first, something happens, maybe they're leaving a class they have together and he's talking to her about an assignment or something he might not understand, and realizes the look of confusion on her face like he's talking too fast. She wouldn't try to make him feel awkward about it, actually she'd just be kinda happy somebody wasn't avoiding her like the plague. <3 Mmhm.

I can see this happening. Totally. He'd be chattering away about something or other, and as soon as he sees that she's confused he'd ask if she wanted him to slow down. Seeing as she can read lips, he might think that she's just a mute or something. I don't think the lack of hearing would bother him, as long as she could understand what he was saying. He might even attempt to learn sign language after a while, though I think the default communication would be him asking her to write down what she wanted to say.

Then again... what would get him chatty in the first place...?

They got paired together for a partner assignment in some class. Like a lab or something. YES and he's spouting off ideas and she's just trying to follow what he's saying then finally tells him to slow down, and is all 'I'm deaf, etc etc'.
Awwwwhhhh. She is probably going to petition for a sign language club if she can get enough people that want to do it. And she can sign, and kinda talk a little, she just usually doesn't talk because she sounds 'slow/stupid'. But maybe Nicki doesn't mind and she eventually feels comfortable talking around him?
