Well this was ridiculous. That much was obvious. And he wasn’t talking about his hair which he had to keep held back with a headband so it wouldn’t get in his face. Jordan Ray Winters was starting to regret sending Jayson on his marry way when he headed off to football practice. Normally, the boy didn’t give a rats ass if his brother stayed or not, but since today seemed like national give-out-homework day, Jordan thought it would be better if Jayson went on home without him. After all, what’s the worse that could happen? It was just football. Oh, wait. That’s right. It was football and the possibility of a monster of a linebacker tackling someone to the ground was extremely likely. And it was exactly what happened. Let’s not forget that just because a man is down doesn’t mean no one else will interfere. No, this team liked to dog-pile the dumbass with the ball. It was Jordan’s turn to be the dumbass that day.
He didn’t know exactly what happened to make this dog-pile particularly bad. Usually they didn’t hurt as much as this one did. Perhaps he landed wrong or something and no one gave him enough time to fix himself before about another thousand pounds were added on him. Thankfully it didn’t last but a second. They never lasted that long because coach would break it up or someone else would. They couldn’t let a member of the team get squished to death, could they? But as Jordan was pulled up after it was over, something didn’t feel right. His left knee hurt a little, giving him a slight limp that he did his best to mask through the rest of practice. Of course that only made it worse and by the time it was all over and he showered, it was obvious something was wrong. But he just passed it off as nothing and limped his ass home.
It was later than normal when he managed to arrive home. He unlocked the door to the apartment he shared with Jayson and Jayson alone, trying to work his gigantic athletic bag through the small space. Which, as usual, resulted in a few grumbled obscenities and a lot of violent shoving. This was probably the thing he hated most about football: taking the pads and everything back home. The moment he got it all through the door, he dropped the bag to the ground and hobbled his way to the couch so he could throw himself onto it. “Jay-Jay, I’m home!” he called, voice muffled by a pillow.

If there was a big game, Jayson would be right on the side lines being Jordan's personal cheerleader. But practices were really boring for Jayson and so he decided to take Jordan's suggestion and return home to work on a bit of homework.
However, the junior finished rather quickly and he found himself looking up at the clock and wondering when Jordan would be home. Jayson and Jordan seemed to be the typical storybook pair of identical twins, kind of like Fred and George Weasley from Harry Potter. They were very close and spent almost every waking moment together. Despite the fact the both of them were heterosexual they both liked to cuddle with each other too. But of course, that was their little secret.. like a guilty pleasure of sorts. When Jayson was upset or angry, he would lay against his twin brother like he was a security blanket.
So when Jayson heard the door to the apartment open up, his ears perked as if he were a dog and not a penguin. He smiled to himself upon hearing Jordan's voice, getting up from the desk his bedroom and instantly starting for the living room. "It's about time, Jordanny. I was starting to go into withdrawal." He spoke a little teasingly, winking as he came into the room.
Since Jordan was laying on the couch by the time he got to the living room, Jayson couldn't tell that there was something wrong with his brother's knee. So he promptly made his way across the room and plopped down onto his brother in a very unceremonious fashion. There was a playful smile clinging to his lips as he stared down at Jordan with blue eyes that wanted a bit of fun. Jayson had been studying all afternoon. It was time for a little bit of play time with his best friend. Yes, Jayson thought of his brother as his best friend.
"You're bony, Jordanny.." Jayson scrunched his nose, glad that Jordan didn't smell like alcohol today. Maybe his pep talks were really starting to work. That idea made Jayson a little more happier than he already was.

If there was one thing Jordan knew for an absolute truth and a fact that would never change, it was that Jayson would always be there for him and that Jordan would always be there for Jayson. There simply was no changing that no matter whatever disaster tried to shake them. A black hole could consume the universe but at least they’d be consumed together. They have simply been through too much for them to become separated now. And with that truth came another; though, it was more like an implied assumption. Jordan expected his little brother to take care of him if he ever needed help. Now was one of those times. And what does Jayson do?
Sit on him.
With a groan, Jordan began to wriggle beneath Jayson uncomfortably. His knee was aching and this wasn’t helping anything. Identical blue eyes stared up at Jayson’s and a small pout tugged at his lips. “Bony?” the older brother whined and started to wiggle a little more violently, as if he were trying to throw his brother to the ground, “Is that how you make your hurt brother feel better? I see how it is.” Like a child, Jordan huffed and made a dramatic scene of turning his gaze away – obviously just being silly now. “We’ll see if I cuddle you when you’re upset.”
Yes, despite being completely straight, Jordan loved to cuddle his little twin brother. It was just a moment they enjoyed sharing when one of them was feeling down. They had done it ever since they were little and there was no point in stopping now because it worked. Jordan could still remember when Jayson would crawl under his blanket when the voices of their parents’ argument grew too loud. To Jordan it had all just become static in the background but it never seemed to stop affecting Jayson. Even now, whenever Jayson was upset or angry or scared, Jordan was always there to comfort him. Old habits die hard and this one wasn’t going to give up.
